"I am constantly training and am always looking for simple & effective self-defense techniques to teach women when defending against a man," she says. I want to make sure that the techniques really work and avoid giving women & girls a false sense of security when it comes to defending themselves."
She wants to help as many women as possible develop and achieve the confidence needed to defend themselves if necessary.
"I want women to know that they do not need to earn a black belt in order to effectively defend themselves. I want women to know that they need to work past any self esteem issues that they may have, because if you have low self esteem, you are going to have difficulty defending yourself. I want to get the message across to teenaged girls especially as they are most at risk, that nobody has the right to hurt or abuse them, and that it is o.k. to fight back, and do some damage to your attacker, even if he is somebody that you know."
